Good food. I ate pork stew and salads only, but can tell cooks know their job well. However, avoid beer. I bought ordinary half a liter beer can for 10 euros. Ridiculous price. Even for Finland and especially for place offering daily buffet. Would expect such price in some fancy expensive places. This place is not in this category.

[HELSINKI, FINLAND] One place on your itinerary will probably be visiting the Sveaborg, or sea fortress. One place you can dine at is at this humble deli due to its affordable price point and good food They have daily lunch sets with a free flow salad bar and these were the ones we got: Grilled Pork Tenderloin (17 euros) - this was a huge portion with 2 thick slabs of grilled pork tenderloin! The meat itself was tender and perfect with the savoury meat sauce. Do get some mustard at the salad bar to make every bite even better! Meatballs and Mash (14.80 euros) - this was absolutely stunning. The meatballs were so soft, yet meaty. In fact, it was somehow juicy as well the mash itself was decent and they gave so much Salmon Soup (14.80 euros) - this was a lighter version, with less cream and more broth. Salmon and potatoes as usual were fresh. It's hard to find restaurants selling dishes at less than 20 euros and yet have a free flow salad bar! Definitely very worth it hehe

The Best! The staff will try to find everything in your needs. Just tell them what you possibly want to eat (main salad) and you'll get it. They have plenty of foods, but their salads are one of a kind. Be sure to get the Greek cheese "Feta" with everything else you choose. Perfect for a midday launch as you discover Suomenlinna!

Very cute place, great food, we had pizza and food on the buffet, the service was super friendly and kind. We loved it, a great place for lunch. Strongly recommend.

Excellent lunch, vegetarian and vegan options! I chose the salad option, which had lovely fresh ingredients for a reasonable price, and a generous helping. One received a basic salad of lentils, red onion, salad leaves and cucumber, and one could then choose 2, 4 or 6 additional options/toppings. There were vegan choices such as Beluga lentils, large white butter beans, stuffed grapevine-rolls, etc. Vegetarian options included a variety of cheeses such as mzarella, white-mould goat-cheese, feta, etc. One could choose the mustard or garlic dressing, which was then topped with sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Home-made bread made from a root-dough (passed on from generation to generation) was included. The service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Tabletops + the restaurant was really clean. One could sit outside or inside.

Cozy and cute cafe providing snacks and warm lunches, very close to the ferry terminal. You have unlimited refills for coffee. Discovered the karelian pie here, very earthy and comforting on a rainy cold day. Also retails the local craft beer.

Salmon soup €15 was yummy My family ordered lunch set, which was like a buffet. Looks good!

Adorable café near the ferry, so if you're in a mood for coffee or something sweet before starting your adventure, this place is recommended Good coffee, nice sweets, and they have some lunch options, and salmon soup on Saturdays, and even have their own beer. A wonderful place to visit.
